Forgiveness for ourselves is just as important as forgiveness for others. If we truly lay all of our shortcomings and indiscretions at the feet of Jesus, then we must also forgive ourselves. Once we lay it down we cannot pick it up again. If we do not forgive ourselves and truly leave our sins for Jesus, then what are we saying about the price He paid for us? I would think those actions say that His sacrifice was not enough, and if the only perfect sacrifice to ever be offered is not enough, then we are all truly lost. Jesus did for us what no one else could. Let that be enough!
