Hearing the Word and living the word. Christianity is far from a Religion, but rather it is a relationship with the Almighty Father. So then who has it right? Which church has it all figured out? What denomination should we all be? I think the answer to this is everyone and no one, because no matter the sect or denomination that you claim or don't claim, there is only ONE way to salvation. There is only ONE God the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit, & only ONE Heaven. All throughout scripture Jesus makes 4 very important things extremely evident. 1. Love the Lord with all your heart and Soul. 2. Love your neighbor as yourserlf. 3. There is only one way to the Father, through the Son, Jesus Christ. 4. Share the Gospel. Jesus walked this earth and sacrificed himself for all men, women, and children. Salvation does not hinder on the food I do or don't eat, it does not hinder on what day of the week I attend an organized worship service. It does not matter how many times a day that I pray. What does matter is what is in your heart, that you believe and follow Christ, and that you share with others what the Lord has done in your life. It is not about perfection, it's about progress. Now that is not to say that just because I believe, that is enough, because it is not. Just because I believe something exists does not mean that I have faith, Faith comes from living the Word that I believe in.
Religion is about rules and following the given doctrine of that religion. But a relationship is about so much more, it is about you, and the Lord, what is in your heart, what you do, and communication. In other words (James 2:14-26) Faith Without Works Is Dead 14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without [a]your works, and I will show you my faith by [b]my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is [c]dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made [d]perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was [e]accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
